No, “sitting disease” is not being lazy. In fact, quite the opposite.

It's the term used to describe the health side-effects suffered by people who work too long in the sitting position. Sitting for extended periods of time can definitely be bad for personal health while standing more increases your energy, burns more calories, tones muscles, improves your posture and increases blood flow.

There are ways to avoid too much sitting whether in the office or at home like taking the stairs, fidgeting, dancing whenever you can, etc.

You just need to find ways in your daily routine to move more to be healthy!
